Class Salary Advancement Units
Faculty at Class IV and Class V of the salary schedule do not qualify for class salary advancement, and faculty can only earn up to six (6) units of class salary advancement per semester.
Contact HR to check your eligibility:
- Class level verification:
- Full-time faculty: HR-FTFaculty@losrios.edu
- Adjunct faculty: HR-PTFaculty@losrios.edu
- Units earned verification: hrsalaryadvancement@losrios.edu
Prequalification for the class salary advancement units is not required, as the district has pre-approved the Foundations 2.0 courses.
Class salary advancement is applied only once a year. Each August, the colleges will submit a list of Foundation 2.0 completers who have selected salary advancement as their compensation option to the district office for processing. Individuals will advance in the salary schedule in the fall if they've earned enough units.
If you've taken an approved @ONE course, then email your certificate of completion to San Li at lis@losrios.edu by August 12 to ensure that the units are applied to the fall semester.
College Service Hours
If you select college service hours as your compensation option, then consult with your department dean for guidance on how to record your hours.
Stipend: Adjunct Faculty College Service and Professional Development Pilot Program
Adjunct faculty who select the stipend must receive prior approval from their dean before taking the course. Please complete the Adjunct Faculty College Service Professional Development Pilot Program Form, following the instructions on page 3. Stipends are processed by the faculty member's instructional department. Faculty will only be compensated for a maximum of 27 hours in a single academic year.
Important: Compensation is only available to faculty who are taking the course(s) for the first time unless the training was completed under a former management system, such as D2L.
Training Options for Foundations 2.0
