Overview
The New FastTrack OEI Rubric Academy began in Fall, 2024. Now named the New FastTrack CVC@ONE (California Virtual Campus/Online Network of Educators) Rubric Academy, full-time and part-time faculty will be provided with personalized support to assist you in aligning your online courses to the CVC@ONE Online Course Design Rubric.
FastTrack is unique in that you will work collaboratively with a mentor throughout this process. Your mentor is an experienced online instructor and an online course designer who has both course design and accessibility expertise. Additionally, when your course is ready for an internal review, we have experienced course reviewers on the team who are your faculty peers. The FastTrack’s high-touch, high-support model ensures that you get the support you need, when you need it. The outcome is that you end up with a course that provides exemplary online learning opportunities for your students. In fact, the CVC@ONE has shown that courses aligned to the Rubric have almost a 5% greater success rate than courses which are not aligned. By aligning your online course(s) to the Rubric, you will also receive the coveted CVC@ONE's Quality Reviewed Badge. Students can select this badge in the filters when searching for classes at the California Virtual Campus website. Then only badged courses are shown.
Requirements
- It is important that you have completed Foundations 1.0 and Foundations 2.0 or an equivalent online teaching class.
- The course you choose to align has been taught fully online for at least on full semester.
- If the course number is less than 100, please contact FastTrackAcademy@losrios.edu.
Compensation
Faculty who align their course(s) and endeavor to receive the Quality Reviewed status from the CVC@ONE are eligible to receive a stipend.
Compensation Amounts
First Course
- 3 units or greater: $900
- 1 to 2 units: $600
Subsequent Courses
- 3 units or greater: $500
- 1 to 2 units: $300
Salary Advancement Credit
Salary Advancement Credit of 3 units is available for those who qualify for the first course only. Faculty at Class IV and Class V of the salary schedule do not qualify for class salary advancement, and faculty can only earn up to 6 units of class salary advancement per semester. Class salary advancement is applied only once a year in the fall. Individuals who earn enough units will advance in the salary schedule in the fall.
Those interested in Salary Advancement must complete the Los Rios Application for Credit and email it to hrsalaryadvancement@losrios.edu. Prior approval is required.
