How long does it take for captions to be returned?
Our captioning team typically returns your captions within two to three weeks.
I have a student who requires captions in their DSPS accommodation. Can I get captions faster?
Please fill out the Captioning Request Form. Your coordinator will work with you to expedite this job.
Can I submit my videos week-by-week as I build my class?
Yes, you can submit your video requests at any time. However, keep in mind that it takes up to three weeks to receive the caption files.
I have some audio-only podcasts. Can transcripts be generated for these?
Yes. You would submit these in the same manner as you would for videos, depending on the format. Please submit the Captioning Request Form or contact your campus coordinator for more information.
Can I order both captions and transcripts for my course videos?
Both closed captions and transcripts will be provided to you when you make a captioning request.
I've got PowerPoints with audio embedded. How can I submit these for captioning?
Please submit the Captioning Request Form and your UDAC will work with you to find an alternative option to support your students.
I have a lot of difficult vocabulary in my videos. Will the returned captions be accurate?
If you have any documents (vocabulary lists, glossaries, slide presentations, etc.) that you think will be useful for ensuring accuracy, please let your captioning coordinator know. They can provide these documents to the captioning vendor when they submit your order.
