Where Wishes Lead the Way: CRC Dinner and a Show Featuring "Into the Woods"

Join us for the second installment of Dinner and a Show, an unforgettable evening celebrating the talent, creativity, and excellence of Cosumnes River College students as they present the final dress rehearsal of Into the Woods before opening night.

The evening begins with a wine reception, followed by a plated dinner and dessert thoughtfully prepared and served by students in CRC's Culinary Arts Management Program.

Guests will then enjoy a special performance of Into the Woods, presented by the talented students and faculty of CRC's Theatre and Dance Arts Department.

Winner of three Tony Awards, Into the Woods brings together beloved fairy tale characters including Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack, and a mysterious Witch as they venture into the woods in pursuit of their deepest wishes. As their stories intertwine, they discover that getting what you want is only the beginning. Filled with humor, heart, and unforgettable music, this modern classic explores the consequences of our choices and the importance of community, responsibility, and connection.

The acclaimed score by Stephen Sondheim features musical theatre favorites including "On the Steps of the Palace," "Agony," "Giants in the Sky," "It Takes Two," and "No One Is Alone."

More than an evening of fine dining and exceptional entertainment, Dinner and a Show showcases the transformative educational experiences that prepare CRC students for success in the culinary, hospitality, performing arts, and creative industries.

Dinner and a Show is $70 per person and includes wine generously donated by McConnell Estates Winery, a plated dinner and dessert, a performance of Into the Woods, and parking.

This event is expected to sell out. We encourage you to RSVP early, as seating is limited and reservations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration deadline is October 30, 2026.
