Description

This training invites educators and staff to approach behavioral concerns through a humanized and empathetic lens, prioritizing understanding, dialogue, and connection to supportive campus resources.

Participants will learn practical strategies to effectively support students in distress, with interventions grounded in trauma-informed practices and an awareness of implicit bias. The training will explore how to recognize early signs of escalation, respond in the moment using de-escalation techniques, and maintain appropriate boundaries while fostering a supportive environment.

Participants will leave this training with increased confidence, concrete language and tools for real-time situations, and a stronger understanding of their role in contributing to a culture of care that supports student wellbeing and success.

Hosted by CRC, but open to all districtwide faculty and staff.
