Have you thought about hiring one or more student assistants or interns for your department or project? The Learning-Aligned Employment Program (LAEP) offers eligible underrepresented students at public colleges and universities the opportunity to earn money to help defray their educational costs, while gaining education-aligned, career-related employment. Public schools and colleges qualify for these funds (from the Student Aid Commission) if the student work involves a minimal research component. Join us to learn how you can utilize both LAEP funding and Work Experience to engage students in meaningful on-campus work.
All Los Rios faculty and staff are welcome to join this presentation.
Facilitated by Julie Collier and Haley Lepper (FLC WEXP)
Meets State Professional Development Guideline B: Staff development, in-service training, and instructional improvement; Guideline F: Related activities, such as student advising, guidance, orientation, matriculation services, and student, faculty, and staff diversity.
